Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 September 2026

Tradesmen Dispute Direct Ltd (company number 17257012), registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 724 Hitchin Road, Luton, England, LU2 7UJ, is the data controller responsible for the personal information processed through this website and our dispute-support service. If you have a privacy question or wish to exercise your data-protection rights, contact us at nigel@tradesmen-dispute-direct.com.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, booking details, order and payment status, information about the dispute, the identity of the other party or business, the amount in dispute, documents, evidence and email replies you choose to provide, and technical information such as IP address, browser and device information.

How we use your information and our lawful bases

We process information where it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract or to perform our contract with you, including assessing and delivering the service, arranging consultations, preparing documents and communicating with you. We also process information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, including tax and accounting requirements, and for our legitimate interests in administering the business, preventing misuse, securing the website, keeping appropriate records and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Where information you provide includes special-category data, we process it only where a lawful condition applies, including where necessary for legal claims.

Payments

Card payments are processed using WooCommerce and Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number on our website. Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy terms.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the website, booking, payment and case-administration process, including web hosting, WordPress, WooCommerce, Amelia, IvyForms, Stripe and Google Workspace services such as Gmail and Google Drive. They may process personal information only as needed to provide their services to us. Where information is processed outside the United Kingdom, appropriate safeguards are used where required by data-protection law.

Case information and sensitive information

Dispute information may contain personal or sensitive information about you or other people. Please provide only information that is relevant to the matter. We use information supplied in a case only for providing the requested service and related legal, regulatory, security or record-keeping purposes.

How long we keep information

We normally retain booking, order, invoice, case correspondence and service records for up to six years after the service or matter ends, so that we can meet accounting obligations and deal with contractual or legal claims. General enquiries that do not become a paid matter are normally retained for up to 12 months. Website security and technical logs are normally retained for up to 12 months. We may keep information for longer where a legal obligation, active dispute, fraud-prevention requirement or court process makes that necessary, and we may delete information sooner where it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, and data portability. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your data-protection rights have been infringed.

Cookies and technical data

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use this website, including visitor numbers, traffic sources and pages viewed. Analytics can process technical information such as page addresses, device and browser details, referral information and cookie identifiers. We use this information to improve our website and assess our marketing.

Analytics cookies are used when you allow the Statistics category in our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Manage consent. If you decline statistics consent, Google may receive limited measurement signals without analytics cookies. We do not intentionally include enquiry contents, uploaded documents or dispute records in Analytics. For more information, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to operate and secure this website. With your consent, we also use Google Ads conversion tracking to understand whether someone who interacted with one of our advertisements later completes a purchase, and to measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising.

If you accept marketing cookies, Google may receive technical information about your visit, such as your IP address, page URL, browser or device identifiers and referral information. When a paid order is completed, we also send the purchase value, currency and a unique transaction ID to Google Ads. This helps us attribute purchases to our advertising and avoid counting the same purchase more than once.

We do not deliberately send your name, email address, postal address, case description, evidence or other dispute documents through the conversion event. Google processes information under its own Privacy Policy and explains how it uses information from sites and apps.

We ask for your consent before enabling Google Ads marketing cookies and purchase-conversion tracking. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie banner or the Manage consent control on this website. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking from this website but does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version published on this website will apply from the date it is posted.
